What catalyst converts ozone to oxygen?

MINSLITE-BG01 is a composite catalyst based on copper (Cu) and manganese (Mn) oxides. The unique preparation process achieves high dispersion and structural optimization of the two metal oxides. Its core design includes:

Nanoscale active sites: Synthesized by sol-gel method, forming particles with a particle size of less than 50 nanometers, greatly increasing the specific surface area (150 m²/g), providing sufficient active sites for ozone adsorption and reaction.

Catalytic reaction path: O₃ is adsorbed on the Mn³⁺ site and decomposed into O₂ and adsorbed oxygen (O⁻). CuO promotes the migration of O⁻ and combines with O₃ in the gas phase to generate O₂. Moisture resistance: Through surface hydrophobic modification, MINSLITE-BG01 remains highly active in a humid environment, solving the problem that traditional catalysts are easily poisoned by water molecules. Low temperature and high efficiency: No additional heating equipment is required, and ozone can be quickly decomposed at room temperature, with significant energy-saving and consumption-reducing effects. Industrial air purification In semiconductor manufacturing workshops, ozone needs to be decomposed immediately after being used for wafer cleaning. A leading chip company uses a catalytic tower filled with MINSLITE-BG01.
